What is Lodgic?
Lodgic is an all-in-one property management and bookkeeping platform built specifically for short-term rental hosts. It combines property tracking, financial management, contractor coordination, and AI-powered receipt scanning into a single app so you can stop juggling multiple tools and spreadsheets.
Do I need to be an accounting expert?
Absolutely not. Lodgic is designed for hosts, not accountants. We use plain language, pre-built IRS categories mapped to Schedule E, and guided monthly book closing. If you can log an expense on your phone, you can use Lodgic.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Lodgic offers a free plan forever with bookkeeping for 1 property. No credit card required. When you’re ready for more properties or management features, upgrade to a paid plan. Your data carries over seamlessly.
Can I use Lodgic if I only have one property?
Definitely. Our free plan is designed exactly for you: full bookkeeping for one property at no cost. Upgrade to Starter when you add more properties.
What are IRS-aligned categories?
Lodgic expense categories map directly to IRS Schedule E line items, the form you file for rental property income. This means when tax season arrives, your data is already organized exactly the way your CPA or TurboTax needs it. No re-categorizing or guessing which line an expense belongs on.
How does AI receipt scanning work?
Take a photo of any receipt with your phone. Our AI extracts the vendor name, amount, date, and suggests the appropriate IRS category, all in seconds. You review, confirm, and the expense is logged. No more shoeboxes of paper receipts or manual data entry.
Can I export my data?
Starter plans and above include CSV export for your transactions, P&L reports, and property data. The free plan includes P&L dashboard views. You can export everything at any time on paid plans. Your data is always yours.
Is my financial data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest) and follow security best practices. Each organization is isolated in its own database schema. Your financial data is stored securely and is never shared with third parties.
Security and Data
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation, giving you time to export everything or reactivate. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted. We recommend exporting a backup before canceling.
Can I import data from other tools?
Yes. Lodgic auto-detects CSV formats from Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Hospitable, and Guesty. Manual column mapping and AI smart import handle any other format.
